- Cindy Van Aken
- Cindy Van Aken grew up in flat northern Indiana, but always had a love for the mountains. Her hiking adventures started as a young adult in the Lake District of England. Later she climbed in Wales and the Scottish Highlands, Norway and the Swiss Alps. In the United States, she has hiked in Acadia National Park in Maine, the Green Mountains of Vermont and out west in Zion, Arches, Grand Tetons, Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Rocky Mountain National Parks. She became an Adirondack 46er in 2015.
- Cindy has enjoyed being an elementary teacher for twenty years. She loves to teach and loves to learn. As she’s hiked in different states and countries, she’s been curious about the geology, fauna, and flora that she’s seen on the mountains and trails. She enjoys sharing that knowledge on the guided hikes. Cindy is also certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
